You may have heard one of us mention Steve Smolinsky in a blog post or two. Steve is a friend of the company and refers to Dinkum folks as his “web ogre” (more on that at another time).
Steve is one of the more technology challenged folks we deal with and he easily admits to it. So we become his go-to company for anything online.
That being said Steve is a genius when it comes to using a process that coincides with action, marketing, engagement – whatever you want to call it.
To get to the actual details of what I’m going to share, you can go to Steve’s blog here.
To summarize – Steve had a great experience with a server named Regina at Capital Grille and was so impressed he wrote about it in his blog.
But you see, Steve knows that not everyone reads his blog and the chance that someone from Capital Grille would find out what he wrote was remote. Soooo Steve sent the company a link to his blog. The NEXT morning Steve has an email directly from the CEO of Capital Grille.
There are more details to the story and you are welcome to go back and read them. The point i am making is, are you relying too much on technology to do the work for you, or are you still being creative and using technology to help you be even more creative?
I am willing to bet that every time Steve goes to the Capital Grille from now on he will be treated great – just like he was the first time – and now they know he is willing to share his experience.
What have you done to take technology further than just using the tools?
