Under new ownership, the building that was Art Houz was looking for a rebrand. They wanted something that made sense and separated the building from the theaters to be able to communicate the message of each to their audience. The theaters became Downtown Cinemas, a nod to the location. We created a logo that aligned with the downtown Las Vegas vibe and history.
The previous Art Houz website needed to become District North (north of the Arts District) without heavily impacting the current performance, much of which was heavily generated by SEO performance. While changing a domain name can be a challenge to retain SEO, we’ve done it plenty of times. The biggest hurdle would be splitting the website into two with the Downtown Cinemas adopting a traditional theater system.
While transition went smoothly, it took a lot longer to get the numbers back which was something we anticipated but certainly impatient with.
