Foreign policy think tank Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) aims to “educate the public, teach teachers, train students, and offer ideas to advance U.S. national interests based on a nonpartisan, geopolitical perspective that illuminates contemporary international affairs through the lens of history, geography, and culture.” To do so, they lean heavily on their website to help reflect their mission and to communicate their message. It hasn’t always been an easy path with a couple of missteps along the way. One of those was a challenging website upgrade that didn’t quite go according to plan. When Dinkum was brought in, while the website was completed and functional, it did not do many things they needed and really didn’t reflect a modern, current experience that was important to FPRI’s goals.
Our initial goal wasn’t to start from scratch but instead to take what was in place and gradually make improvements, enhancements and then to tackle its appearance and overall organization. Along the way we got to know their goals, workflow, resources and an understanding of what they need to succeed.
Following the re-launch of their website, we continue to work with FPRI on maintenance, enhancements, performance, online visibility, analytics and in general supporting them to achieve their goals.
