It’s no secret that we’re massive supporters of the Arts as well as non-profits. They make up a large part of our core business. Being able to maximize efficiencies that we pick up from working at scale on a lot of websites, really helps to keep overall costs down while still maximizing impact. For this reason, every year we offer up a pro bono website refresh to a client that really needs it but doesn’t quite have the budget to make it happen. We selected Philadelphia Cultural Fund for our 2018 recipient of the Unsung Hero project.
Fast forward to early 2019 and we’ve launched a new WordPress website with fresh look, easy site structure and custom features that work well for their constituents who include the recipients of Arts grants and awards…all very important contributors to the Arts in our home town Philadelphia.
The old website above had really overstayed its welcome and managing it was becoming impossible without significant workarounds. The website itself was some 10 years old which is a lifetime for a website that doesn’t receive constant attention.
One of our biggest priorities was to ensure the new website was mobile compatible which was certainly a huge issue of their old website. Web gave the website a new look that aligns more with todays standards, we structured the new website to focus on the things PCF needed and also updated the system to be able to accommodate their needs better by incorporating tables and custom post types to make management far easier. All this allows PCF to keep doing their best at enriching our Arts community.
